Polka

We are up on the first floor over in Sector 8, specifically at 8B SCF 19. It’s a bit of a climb up the stairs, but we’ve been in this unit for quite a while now. Sector 8 is a busy area, lots of shops and people moving around the market. We like being on the first floor because it’s a little quieter than being right on the sidewalk. You can see the street from our windows, which is nice when things get hectic outside. The space isn't huge, but it fits everything we need to do our work. We started out here because the location was convenient for folks in the neighborhood. Most of our neighbors in the other SCF units are pretty friendly, and we all kind of look out for each other. It’s not a shiny corporate office or anything like that. Just some desks, some equipment, and a few of us trying to stay on top of our daily tasks. We don’t have a big sign out front, just the number on the door. It’s been our home base for years. We keep the place tidy, though it gets cluttered sometimes when we're busy. It feels like a real part of the community here in the sector. Nothing more, nothing less. Just a bunch of us working at Polka at SCF 19.
