Our office is at number 9, Guru Siddhi, right behind the Jan Laxmi Bank on Gangapur Road. It’s a pretty good location because it’s easy for people to find once they see the bank. We’ve been operating West India Exports for a few years. Despite the name sounding big, we’re actually a small team. We spend most of our time on the computer or the phone, tracking shipments and talking to suppliers. The office is usually quiet, except for when the phone rings or when someone is printing out customs forms. We deal with various goods, trying to move them from here to places far away. It’s interesting to see where everything goes. We don’t have a flashy showroom because we don’t really need one. Most of our work happens behind the scenes. We like being on Gangapur Road because there are good places to eat nearby. Sometimes we take our lunch breaks together and talk about things other than work. We aren't trying to impress anyone with big words or fancy presentations. We just focus on making sure the boxes get where they need to go without too much trouble. It can be stressful when a boat is late, but that’s just part of the job. We've learned to take it as it comes. It's a steady business and we enjoy the daily routine we've built here over the years.
