Park Plaza Chandigarh

We are tucked away here in Sector 17 on Vishveshwaraiah Road 160017. Most days start pretty early when the milk delivery comes through the back gate. The building has been here for a while, and you can tell by the way the elevators sound sometimes. It’s not a fancy place, just a spot where we try to keep the rooms tidy and the lobby smelling okay. People usually find us because we are close to the main market area in Chandigarh. The afternoons can be a bit quiet, so the staff mostly sits around the front desk chatting about cricket or the weather. We have some regular guests who have been coming here for years. They know exactly which room they want and they don't like it if we change things around. The windows look out over the street, so you can see the cars passing by all day. Sometimes the traffic gets loud, but that is just part of living in this part of town. We don’t have any big speeches to make. We just open the doors every morning and make sure there is enough water in the tanks and the lights are working. It's a job like any other. My cousin helps with the accounts and I handle the front desk most of the time. We keep things simple here at Park Plaza Chandigarh. If you walk down the road, you'll see a lot of other shops. It’s a busy corner, but it feels like home.
