Our shop is on the busy stretch of Lehripura New Road, specifically at Sector 15 Baranpura Naka. It’s a loud area with lots of horns and people shouting. We have a lot of phones stacked up in the repair queue. It feels like everyone in Sector 15 has a broken screen at some point. The workbench is at the back of the shop, covered in tiny parts and soldering irons. We have to be careful with the tiny screws because they disappear if they fall on the floor. We also sell some landline phones, though not as many as we used to years ago. The walls are lined with rows of charger cables and earphones in plastic bags. We keep the door open to let some air in, but that also brings in all the dust from the road. The street address 106 is easy to find once you get to the Naka. We have a small television in the corner that we keep on the news. It helps when there’s a lull in the afternoon. Most of our customers are locals who have been coming to us for years. We don't have a fancy waiting area, just a wooden bench near the door. The floor gets quite dirty from all the foot traffic, so we mop it every evening before we lock up. It's a lot of manual work and squinting at small circuit boards. We often have to tell people to come back in an hour or two once the glue on their screen dries properly.
