New Hair Cut Salon

The shop is right on It Park Road, inside New Indira Colony at Shop No 1. We’ve been here at New Hair Cut Salon since the colony started getting busier. It’s a simple spot. I usually get the shutters up by nine or so. You see a lot of people passing by on their way to the IT offices, but our regulars are mostly the folks living nearby. There’s a tea stall just down the road that I visit when it’s slow. Inside the shop, we have a couple of chairs and the usual mirrors. It’s not a huge place, but it works for us. The walls could use a new coat of paint maybe, but nobody seems to mind. Sometimes the radio is on, just playing some old songs to keep things moving. We do basic cuts, shaves, and the occasional head massage if someone is feeling tired. The traffic on the road can get loud during peak hours, but you get used to it after a while. I try to keep the floor swept, though hair gets everywhere once the day picks up. It’s a decent living. Being in this area means we see all sorts of people. I like the routine of it. Just coming in, setting out the towels, and waiting for the first knock on the door. It is just home for me. My scissors are old but they still cut just fine. I hope the weather stays clear today.
