Nalanda Centre Of Education

Our place, which we call Nalanda Centre Of Education, is tucked away in Sector 46C. We are situated on the top floor of SCO-74. I’ll be honest, it is quite a bit of a hike up those stairs every day, but it definitely gets you away from the constant noise of the street traffic below. Sector 46 is a good, solid area and it's very central for families around this part of Chandigarh. We have set up the rooms to be as functional as possible. There aren’t any fancy decorations, framed awards, or soft carpets to be found here. It is just plain walls and sturdy wooden benches. It feels like a proper, old-school environment where you go to get work done. We handle all sorts of different subjects because that is what the parents in this neighborhood keep asking for. Students usually come drifting in right after their regular school hours are finished for the day. You can always hear the chatter and laughter in the hallways during the short breaks between the sessions. It is a small operation, really. Just a few of us here who teach, and we try to keep things running as smoothly as we can manage. The top floor does get a little bit warm during the summer months, but we make sure the fans are always doing their job. Most people around the 46C area know us as that quiet spot for studying. We don’t bother with much advertising at all. Most of our students come because their older brothers or sisters came here years ago. It has just become a regular part of the local community over time. It is a simple place for education without any of that extra fluff.
