About Mahindra Communications Center – Telecom in Chandigarh
Down here in Sector 46 2, things are a bit more spread out than the city center. I’ve been running the Mahindra Communications Center for a good while now. It’s more of a general spot where you can get a photocopy, pay a utility bill, or get your phone looked at. I have a couple of old computers that I use for the paperwork stuff. They are slow and sometimes make a loud whirring noise that fills the room, but they get the job done eventually. The counter is covered in various forms and brochures that have piled up over the months. I should probably organize them better, but I always seem to have something else to do. People come in with all sorts of questions, not just about phones. Sometimes they want to know where the nearest bank is or how to fill out a government form. I don’t mind helping out where I can. The floor is made of gray tiles that show every bit of mud, so I’m always cleaning up after a rainy day. I have a small calendar on the wall where I mark off the days and note down when certain payments are due. It’s not a high-tech operation, just a practical shop for the people living nearby. By the time I head home at night, my back usually aches a bit, but it’s a good kind of tired that comes from staying busy all day.
