Hotel Neel Kamal

We’ve been here since the neighborhood started filling up with more houses and shops. It’s not a flashy hotel with bright lights; we just have a simple sign out front. We try to keep the water running hot in the mornings because that’s what everyone asks for first. The stairs are a bit narrow, so carrying heavy bags up can be a bit of a workout. My brother and I take turns sitting at the entrance. We don’t have a big uniform or anything, just our regular clothes. Sometimes the neighborhood kids play cricket in the lane behind us, and you can hear the ball hitting the walls.
