City Mobile Lab

Our spot on Keshavji Naik Road at 21/2 is where City Mobile Lab operates. Manimajra is always humming with activity, and our shop is right in the middle of it. We don't call it a lab because we wear white coats, but because we’re always experimenting with how to fix the latest phone models that people bring in. The workbench is covered in tiny screws, screwdrivers, and soldering irons. It’s a bit of a mess to an outsider, but I know exactly where every tool is. We handle everything from broken screens to software that just won't behave. People come in looking worried because their whole life is on their phone, and we try to help them out without making it too complicated. The walls are lined with spare parts and some old phone boxes. It’s a small shop, so you can see everything we’re doing right from the front counter. We don't have a receptionist or anything like that. You just walk in and talk to whoever is holding the tweezers at the moment. Sometimes the repairs take longer than expected because some of these new phones are built like puzzles. We stay open late most nights because that's when people finish work and realize their phone needs fixing before the morning. It’s a practical place for practical problems. We’ve been at this for a while now on Keshavji Naik Road and we don’t plan on changing the way we work.
