About Canadian Institute For International Studies – Education in Chandigarh
We’ve been here at House Number 742 in Phase 3B1 for a good while now. Mohali is changing fast, but this corner of the neighborhood still feels familiar. People walk in through the gate looking for advice on how to get over to Canada for their studies or maybe for work later on. It gets busy during the admission cycles and the phones just don't stop ringing. Most of the staff here live nearby, so we know the local tea stalls and where to get the best lunch. The office isn't anything fancy, just some desks and chairs and a lot of folders stacked up. We spend most of our mornings checking through paperwork and making sure the internet is working because it drops out sometimes when it rains. Students come in with their parents, everyone looks a bit nervous about the future. We try to keep things simple and just talk to them like neighbors. Phase 3B1 has plenty of traffic these days, so finding a parking spot outside the house is always a bit of a struggle for everyone. Sometimes we just sit and watch the street while waiting for the next person to show up. It’s just how it is here, a lot of talking and a lot of waiting for letters from universities. We don't have a big corporate lobby or anything, just a front door and a hall where people wait their turn. It’s quiet in the afternoons before the schools let out and then it picks up again.
