Bulbul Hair Saloon

Bulbul Hair Saloon is at Shop No 132 in Sector 32. We are situated near the ITBP flats. It’s a pretty straightforward neighborhood in Chandigarh. Our shop is just one room with a few chairs and some mirrors along the wall. We’ve been here for a good while. We mostly do haircuts for men and children. Kids sometimes get a bit scared of the clippers, so we have to be patient with them. We don't have any fancy toys or anything to distract them, just a steady hand. The shop is a bit older, and the floor has some scuffs from all the people walking in over the years. We don't mind. It shows we’ve been working hard. We don't have a big sign with lights, just a simple one that says Bulbul. Most people who live in the ITBP flats know us. We don't do any marketing. Our work is our only advertisement. If someone likes their haircut, they tell their neighbor. That’s how we stay in business. We don't have fancy coffee or anything like that. Just a bench where you can sit and wait your turn. We keep the scissors and combs in jars of blue liquid to keep them clean. It’s just a normal, local hair salon. We open around 9:30 usually. If you come by and the door is open, we’re ready to work. No need to call ahead or anything for Sector 32.
