Attri Mathematics

If you go to the second floor of Sco-30 on Tribune Road, you’ll find Attri Mathematics. We are in Sector 20D, which is quite a central part of Chandigarh. Being near Labour Chowk means there is always a lot of movement around us. It’s a commercial building, so we are up the stairs, away from the street noise as much as possible. I’ve been teaching math here for a while. It’s a subject that either you get or you don’t, so we try to spend a lot of time on the basics. The office isn't anything special to look at. It has the standard classroom feel with a white board and benches for the students. It gets a bit busy in the evenings when the batches change over. You can hear the sounds of the city outside, but we try to stay focused on the equations inside. Chandigarh students are usually quite hardworking, and they come here from all over the city. Since we are on the second floor, you get a bit of a view of the road, but we usually have the curtains drawn so people don't get distracted. It’s just a place for math. No complicated rules, just show up and learn. It’s a very practical way of doing things. We don't have a big staff, just people who know their numbers. It’s our little corner in Sector 20 for whoever needs it.
