We’ve been at the Sector 26 grain market for quite a few years now. Ahuja Sugar Agency isn't a fancy place; it’s mostly just a large warehouse space filled with heavy jute bags. Dealing with sugar in bulk means the air always has a certain smell to it, and the floor stays a bit gritty no matter how much we sweep. It’s a busy spot, especially in the early hours when the trucks arrive to unload. We have a small office corner with a couple of desks piled high with papers and ledgers. While there is a computer, we still do a lot of the tracking by hand because it’s just simpler when things are moving fast. It’s a family business that’s been passed down. We supply to local sweet shops, bakeries, and smaller vendors who need their stock regularly. There’s usually a tea stall nearby that brings us chai a few times a day. We know all the other traders in this part of Sec 26. It’s loud, it’s dusty, and it’s a lot of physical labor moving those sacks around. We don't have a website or anything like that. People just know where we are and give us a call or drop by. It’s honest, steady work that keeps us occupied from dawn until late afternoon. We just focus on getting the orders right and making sure the sugar gets where it needs to go on time. It’s a simple life in the market.
