A1 Halal Meat Shop

If you walk around Sector 26, you will find A1 Halal Meat Shop at number 12. We are a small local butcher shop. It is not a big corporate place, just a simple room with some counters and cooling units. We focus on providing meat for the families living nearby. Most of our work involves cleaning and cutting the meat exactly how the customers want it for their curries or biryanis. We start our day very early to get everything ready before the first customer walks in. It’s a messy job, there’s no way around that, but it is what we know how to do. The tools need constant sharpening and the floors need constant washing. We don't have a website or any fancy marketing. People just see the sign and come in. Sometimes we run out of certain cuts by mid-afternoon if it’s a busy day. We try to keep a decent pace so people aren't standing around too long. The neighborhood has changed a lot over the years but we are still here at the same spot. It’s a practical business. We don't talk much, we just focus on the work at hand. If someone wants a specific part of the goat or chicken, we try our best to get it for them. That is how it goes here every day. It's just us and the regulars who have been coming for years, making sure dinner is on the table.
