This part of town is famous for being cramped and busy, and our lane is no exception. At number 358, we have a shop that is pretty much filled to the ceiling with boxes of bearings. It’s a bit of a squeeze to move around sometimes, especially when a new shipment arrives and everything is sitting in the middle of the floor. The smell of grease and metal is something you just stop noticing after the first hour. It’s a very practical place. We don't have a fancy waiting area or any air conditioning, just a counter and some stools for when we need to sit down. Being off FC Road means there are always students and shoppers walking nearby, but our lane stays focused on the mechanical stuff. I usually spend the day counting stock or helping people find the specific part they need. The lighting inside is a bit dim, but we know where everything is kept by heart. It’s a traditional kind of business where we value the fact that we know our stock better than anyone else. Manimajra and Shivajinagar are busy places, and we are just happy to have our little corner here in the lane. We’ve been doing this for a long time.
