Kamboi Farmers Producer Company Limited is based in Village Haandi, which is part of Sallopat. We are at Makan Lal’s place. It’s a small village where everyone knows each other’s business. We are just local farmers who spend our lives working the ground. Makan Lal’s spot is where we handle the paperwork, but you won't find many of us sitting there for long. We’d much rather be outside tending to the plants. We formed this group because it’s hard to make a go of it alone these days. When a few of us get together, we can share what we know and maybe get a better deal on things we need. We don't have a big marketing budget or some glossy brochure. Our hands are usually dirty from the fields, and that’s how we like it. Sallopat is our home, and we care about the land here. We focus on the things we can actually do, like taking care of the soil and watching the weather. We aren't looking for any special recognition. We just want to make sure we can keep farming year after year. It’s a simple way of living, and it keeps us busy. We just keep doing the work that needs to be done and help each other out when things get tough. It's a lot of physical labor but it feels right to be doing it.
