Y P Engineering Works

Our workshop is at Plot No 27 in the WMDC area on Ambethan Road in Chakan. It’s an industrial hub, so there are big trucks and factories everywhere you look. We do engineering works and have been at this location for a several years. The building is just a large shed with a high roof to keep the heat out, though it still gets very warm in the summer months. We have lathes and welding machines set up on the shop floor. It is loud when everything is running at once. We are close to the Amarapali Market area and the Kalamandir Lane, which is where we go if we need to pick up supplies or get some food. The road outside is often dusty because of all the construction and industrial activity in Chakan. We have a small crew of workers who live nearby. We don't have a big office or a place for people to sit. It's just the workshop. We spend our days measuring metal and making sure the parts fit together like they should. It’s hard work on the hands and we are usually tired by the end of the shift. We don't do much in the way of talking ourselves up. We just take the orders as they come and try to get them done on time. It is a basic setup but it works for us.
