Datta Krupa Forge & Engineering

Our shop is located out on Chikhali Road in the Pawar Vasti area of Chakan. It’s a pretty industrial part of town, so you’ll hear the sounds of machines and metal hammers going all day long. Datta Krupa Forge & Engineering is where we spend most of our waking hours. We do a lot of metal work and basic engineering tasks here. The air inside is usually thick with the smell of grease and hot metal, which is just how it is in this line of work. It gets quite warm under the tin roof, especially during the summer months when the sun is high. We started this place because we know our way around a forge and tools. It’s hard work, and your hands stay dirty no matter how much you scrub them at the end of the day. Chakan is a busy hub for factories, and being on the road to Chikhali means there’s always truck movement. We have our regulars who come by with machine parts that need fixing or custom welding that needs doing. It’s not a quiet job, but we like the steady pace of it. Sometimes the power cuts out unexpectedly and we have to wait it out with a cup of tea, which is just part of living in this area. We don’t have a fancy reception desk or a showroom. You usually just walk in and find one of us working near the back.
