Starways Engineers Pvt. Ltd. operates out of Chakan, which is a major hub near Pune. Our place is on the ground floor of Plot No 18, Block No A, right on the Chakan Mahalunge Road. It’s a very industrial setting with a lot of big trucks constantly moving on the road outside. The area is 410501 for those who need the postal code. Being on the ground floor is very helpful for us because we deal with engineering equipment that is quite heavy and hard to move. We don't have to worry about stairs or elevators here. The workshop is usually humming with the sound of machines and people working. It can get quite dusty because of the construction and the traffic in Chakan, so we are always dusting off the desks and the equipment. We have a small office section separated from the main work floor, but it’s all under one roof. The staff here is mostly local guys who know their way around engineering drawings and metal. We don't really do the corporate thing with meetings and presentations. Most of our discussions happen right on the shop floor over a cup of tea. It is a busy, functional place where we focus on getting the engineering jobs done right. We just keep our heads down and handle the daily tasks as they come, whether it's a big order or a small repair.
