Venus Technicians

Down in Anand Parbat, specifically Gali No 2, you'll find our small spot at M-7. It’s Venus Technicians, though most people just call us when their appliances stop working right. The shop is full of tools and bits of wire. We spend most of our time out on the road visiting houses or sitting at the bench with a screwdriver. It gets pretty hot in the summer here, especially with all the soldering. We started out small and stayed that way because it's easier to manage. There's always someone coming in with a broken fan or a motor that burnt out. We don’t have a big front desk or anyone in a suit. It’s just us in our work clothes. Sometimes we have to wait a few days for a part to arrive, which can be a bit of a headache for the customer. We try to be honest about how long it'll take. The neighborhood knows us by now. We’ve been at this address for a good stretch. The lane is narrow, so it's best to walk if you're coming over. We do the work, charge what’s fair, and move on to the next job. It's simple work but it's important because people need their stuff to work. We don't spend money on fancy signs. Just the work bench and the tools are enough for us to keep going every day. There is always a pot of tea going somewhere in the back of the shop.
