About Tiwari Auto Works – Automobile in Central Delhi
If you go down Gali Number 4 in Anand Parbat, you’ll find us at A-31-B. It’s a narrow street, so it can be a bit of a squeeze when a big vehicle comes through. Our shop floor is usually covered in a bit of oil and grease, which I guess is expected for an auto works place. We’ve got tools hanging on the walls and spare tires stacked in the corners. It’s not the quietest spot since there’s always someone hammering something or a bike engine idling out front. We start early most mornings, getting the tools ready and checking what needs to be finished from the day before. The neighborhood is mostly industrial, so there’s a lot of activity around us all day long. We have a small bench where we sit for lunch, usually just a quick break before getting back to a repair. It’s honest work, getting our hands dirty and figuring out why a machine isn't running right. The fans inside don't do much against the heat in the summer, but we’re used to it by now. We’ve known some of the other shop owners on this block for years. We just keep our heads down and focus on the task at hand. It’s a simple setup, nothing polished about it, just a place where work gets done every day. We don't have a receptionist or anything, just us mechanics doing what we know.
