Shiv Engineering

Shiv Engineering is tucked away in Gali No-11 of the Anand Parbat Industrial Area. If you know New Rohtak Road, you know it stays pretty busy with trucks and people moving things around all day. Our shop at R-9A/A is not a big place, just a regular industrial unit where we get our hands dirty. We have a few machines that have been with us for years. They are loud and they take up most of the floor space, but they do the job. We don’t have any fancy meeting rooms or air-conditioned offices. Usually, we just sit on stools or talk over the noise of the grinders. The floor is always covered in metal scraps and oil, which is just how an engineering place looks. We start early in the morning, usually when the tea stall at the corner opens up. Most of us here have been doing this kind of work since we were young. We don't spend money on big signs or advertising. People in the neighborhood just know where we are. Sometimes the power cuts out and we have to wait around, but that is just part of being in this area. We fix things, make parts, and try to keep everything moving. It’s not a glamorous life, but it’s steady work. We just focus on the drawings and the metal in front of us until the day is done.
