Saijayani

Our place is on the ground floor of E 203 in New Rajinder Nagar. It’s a pretty decent spot, especially since we’re right near the Blind School, which everyone around here knows. Being on the ground floor makes it easy when we have to move things in and out. The neighborhood is a mix of people living their lives and small businesses like ours trying to keep up. Sometimes the street gets blocked by a parked truck, and we have to wait it out. Inside, the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we’re too busy to deal with that right now. We have a small back room where we keep most of the supplies and a front area where we spend most of the day. It gets a bit chilly in the winter months because the door stays open a lot. My sister sometimes helps out when things get busy. We’ve been in New Rajinder Nagar for a while and we’ve gotten to know the regulars who walk past every day. It’s not a high-tech operation. We use old-fashioned pens and notebooks more than the computer sometimes. It feels more real that way. The lights hum a little bit if you listen closely, but you get used to it. We just want to do our jobs and not have too much drama. It's a solid little space for Saijayani to operate out of, nothing more and nothing less.
