Our clinic is tucked into U-2 in Prasad Nagar, which is part of the broader Karol Bagh area. If you know this part of Delhi, you know how packed the streets can get. Inside the clinic, we try to keep things a bit more orderly, though it’s a small space. We have our heart monitors and blood pressure cuffs ready to go, and the sound of the machines is a constant background noise. Patients usually sit in the small waiting area, looking a bit nervous as they wait their turn. We’ve got stacks of files on the desks because we’ve been seeing people here for quite some time. It’s not a shiny, corporate medical office. The paint is a bit old in places and the furniture is simple. We spend most of our time looking at charts and talking to people about their daily habits. The phone rings a lot with people asking for directions or trying to change their appointment times. It can get a bit loud when the traffic outside peaks, but we just shut the door and carry on. We know most of the local shopkeepers and residents around Karol Bagh who come to us. It’s a straightforward place where the focus is just on the heart and nothing else. We don’t have a big marketing team or anything like that; we just open the doors every morning and see who needs help.
