We are based out of 11024, Motia Khan. If you know the area, you know it's a place where people really work hard. Raj Skin Corporation deals with hides and skins, which isn't the cleanest job in the world, but it’s what we know and what we’ve always done. The smell of the materials is something you just get used to after the first week. My father started things off, and now we just keep it going as best as we can. The walls in the shop could use a fresh coat of paint, but we usually spend the money on better tools or maintaining the gear instead. We have a few regulars who come by to check the stock personally. We don't have a website or anything like that; word of mouth is usually how people find us in this maze. Motia Khan is a bit of a puzzle if you aren't from around here. We spend a lot of time sorting through the pieces, looking for the right quality. Some pieces are better than others, and you have to have an eye for it. It's manual work. Your hands get tough and your back gets a bit sore by evening time. We close up when the sun goes down and head home to our families. It’s a straightforward life without any frills. We don’t make big promises, we just show you what we have on the racks and you decide if it works for you.
