Radhey Handloom

We’ve been here in Paharganj for a long time now. If you know Main Bazar, you know how busy it gets with all the crowds and the narrow lanes. Our shop, Radhey Handloom, is right at 1567. It’s not a huge place, but we keep a lot of stuff packed on the shelves. Mostly, we deal with fabrics and household textiles. People come in looking for curtains or bedsheets, and we just show them what we have in stock that day. Sometimes the colors are exactly what they want, and sometimes they aren't. We don't really do fancy displays or anything like that. It’s more about just having the right material when someone needs it. My father started things out, and we’ve just kept it going the same way. The shop gets a bit dusty because of the road outside, but that’s just how it is in this part of Delhi. We open up in the morning and stay until late evening. It’s a lot of work folding everything back up after a busy day. Customers are usually locals or people passing through the market who need something for their homes. We don’t have a big website or anything, just the physical shop here. It's a simple way of doing things. We know most of the other shopkeepers around here too. If you walk past the old buildings, you’ll find us easily enough without much trouble.
