We’ve been here at B-1, 12 / 8, in Doctors Lane for a good while now. Gole Market is always busy and loud, but we just keep to ourselves and focus on the quilts. It’s a pretty simple setup inside. We spend most of the day sorting through cotton and various fabrics to make sure everything is put together right. Sometimes it gets a bit dusty with all the filling flying around, but that’s just how it goes in this line of work. We aren't trying to be the biggest place in Delhi, we just want to make stuff that actually keeps people warm. Most of the folks who work here have been doing this since they were young, so they really know their way around a needle and thread. It isn't always easy work, especially when the orders pile up during the cold winter months, but we manage somehow. We just pile the finished quilts up in the corner and get them ready to go out. The shop isn't much to look at from the outside, just a regular door in the lane, but inside there is always something moving. We don’t use any fancy machines that do all the work for us; it’s mostly just hands and regular sewing machines. If you walk past Gole Market, you might miss us if you aren't looking, but we’re there every morning opening up. It’s just us doing what we know how to do without making a big fuss about anything.
