Pran Nath Kapur & Sons Pvt Ltd is based at 157, Okhla Industrial Estate, Phase-3. It’s an old-school kind of place, as you can probably tell from the name on the sign outside. Being in Okhla means we are surrounded by all sorts of factories and warehouses, and the noise of the city is always in the background. Our building isn't brand new, and the paint is peeling in a few spots, but it’s sturdy and serves its purpose. We deal with various industrial supplies and parts, so there’s always a lot of heavy lifting involved. Usually, you’ll find someone out front loading a truck or checking a delivery manifest. It’s a family-run sort of atmosphere even though we’ve grown over the years. We don’t have a marketing department or anyone to write fancy slogans for us. We just focus on getting the orders right and making sure the inventory is where it belongs. The office inside is functional, with some heavy wooden desks and old filing cabinets that have been there since the start. We drink a lot of tea throughout the day and talk about the business or what’s happening in the neighborhood. It’s not a complicated life, but it’s our life. We’ve stayed in Okhla because this is where the industry is, and we fit right in with the grit and the bustle of the estate. No one here cares about being flashy, we just do the work.
