PICKHOUSE MARKETPLACE PRIVATE LIMITED is based on the first floor of building number 277 in Dhaka Johar village. This is in the North West part of Delhi. It’s a typical village area that has been absorbed into the city, so the streets are quite tight and always busy. Our office is up one flight of stairs, and from the windows, you can see the hustle of the street below. There’s always someone shouting or a horn honking, which just becomes background noise after a while. The space inside is simple, just enough room for our computers and a small area to sit. We handle the marketplace side of things from here, so it’s a lot of typing and phone calls throughout the day. The building is older and has its fair share of cracks and peeling paint, but it works for what we need. We don't have any fancy lounge areas or coffee machines; we just make our own tea in the corner or send someone out to the local stall for a cup. Getting here can be a bit of a trek depending on where you're coming from, but the local landmarks help people find the right turn.
