Om Tools & Hardware

At A-15 Anand Parbat, you’ll find Om Tools & Hardware. We are a straightforward hardware shop that caters to the local craftsmen and residents. The space is filled with shelves that go all the way up to the ceiling, packed with boxes of screws, bolts, hammers, and all kinds of hand tools. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze inside, especially when we have more than two customers at once. We spend a good part of our morning just sorting through the new stock that arrives. It can be a bit dusty, and the lighting isn't the best in the back corners, but we know where every single item is located. We don't have a computerized system for our inventory. If someone asks for a specific tool, we just know which shelf to look on. We’ve been at this A-15 location for many years, so we’ve become a bit of a fixture in the neighborhood. People come to us not just for the tools, but sometimes just to ask for advice on how to fix something at their own place. We don't do any big advertising or try to convince people to buy things they don't need. We just provide the hardware and tools that are necessary for the job. It’s a plain and simple business. We close up around seven in the evening, after we’ve made sure the shelves are stocked for the next day. It’s steady, unremarkable work.
