About Ocean Glass Art – Building & Construction Material in Central Delhi
If you head over to No. 9 Durga Market, you’ll find us at Ocean Glass Art. It’s a humble little spot. We do a lot of decorative glass work, mostly stuff for homes around here. It isn't just plain windows; we try to make things look a bit nicer. I started this because I liked working with my hands. The market is always crowded, especially on weekends, so it gets a bit hectic. We have pieces of colored glass leaning against the walls. Some of them have been there for months. It’s hard to keep things tidy when you’re constantly cutting and grinding edges. My hands are always covered in small nicks, but you get used to it. Customers come in with sketches on napkins, and we try to figure out how to make it work in glass. It doesn't always go perfectly the first time. We spend a lot of time just talking to people who walk in. Some just want to look at the patterns. The light in the market isn't great, so we have these big overhead lamps that get really warm. We’ve had some regulars for years now. They know where we are and how we work. It’s just a simple business in a busy market. We do what we can with the tools we have. It is better than sitting in an office all day, that is for sure. We just keep our heads down and keep the glass moving.
