Our branch is right in the middle of the bustle of West Patel Nagar in New Delhi. Specifically, we are at 2192/1A in Shadi Khampur. If you have ever been through this part of Delhi, you know how tight the streets can get and how much is going on at once. It’s a very lived-in area. Our office is squeezed in among a lot of other small businesses and local shops. It’s not a very large space, so when we have more than four or five visitors at once, it feels pretty full. We spend most of our hours looking at screens and sorting out loan documents or payment schedules. The street noise outside is constant, from the vegetable sellers to the scooters zipping by. We have some old wooden desks that have seen better days, but they serve their purpose well enough for what we do. Working here means you get used to the city sounds and the constant movement. Sometimes the delivery guys get lost finding the address because the numbering around here is a bit confusing. We usually keep the door open a crack for some air, though the Delhi dust finds its way in pretty quick. It is just a straightforward place where people come to talk about their money matters without any fuss. We try to keep things moving so no one has to stand around in the heat for too long during the busy afternoons.
