We are based at 15/4 in West Patel Nagar, which is a pretty lively part of New Delhi. There are always people moving around outside, and the sounds of the market and the nearby metro station are just part of our daily background. Our office is a simple, no-frills setup. We have a few rooms filled with desks and a small area where we keep the coffee machine, which gets a lot of use. The building is older, so it has some character, like slightly uneven floors and heavy wooden doors. We handle various tasks for American Express from here, mostly things that require a lot of focus and staring at spreadsheets. We aren't a big corporate headquarters; we are just a local branch where people know each other’s names and stories. On rainy days, the street outside gets a bit messy, but inside we stay dry and keep the work moving along. We don’t have any fancy posters on the walls, just a list of phone numbers and a schedule for the week. It’s an honest place to work. Most of us have been here long enough that the routine feels like second nature. We just show up, do what needs to be done for the day, and head home to our families once the clock hits five.
