M A Aziz is located at 65 Connaught Place, right inside Palika Bazar. If you know the area, you know it is always crowded and a bit hectic under there near the market. Our shop is one of those places where the lights are always on because we are underground. It is a small space, but we pack it with what we need to get through the day. Working in Palika is different from being on a regular street. You lose track of time because you can't see the sun. We spend most of our hours talking to customers and keeping the stock organized. It gets quite loud with all the people walking by and the shopkeepers calling out. We have been here at number 65 for quite some time now. Sometimes the air conditioning in the bazaar acts up, and it gets a bit stuffy, but we just deal with it. We usually grab lunch from one of the nearby stalls. The work is mostly about being present and helping whoever walks through the door. We do not have a website or anything like that. People just find us while they are out shopping in CP. It is a busy life, but we like being in the middle of everything. Every day we see hundreds of faces, some regulars and some just passing through Delhi. We just keep the shop running and do our part. It is what we know how to do best.
