Hari Om Hardware

Our shop is tucked away in 2901/1 Jyoti Hardware Market. If you’ve ever been to Sirkiwalan in Lal Kuan, you know it’s a maze of narrow lanes and a lot of metal. Hari Om Hardware has been operating out of this small spot for quite some time now. We sell all the basic stuff you’d expect—nuts, bolts, tools, and all those small bits and pieces that people need for their houses or workshops. It’s a crowded area, and the noise of the market is something you just get used to after a week of working here. We spend a lot of time counting out small items and putting them into bags for customers who walk in from the street. It’s a very manual process. There’s no air conditioning, just a ceiling fan that works when it wants to. We know most of the other shopkeepers around here, and we all deal with the same issues like tight parking and the heat. Usually, people come in with a broken part and ask if we have a match. We go digging through the drawers until we find something that works. It isn't a high-tech business, just local hardware sales in the middle of a very old, very busy part of the city. We open early and stay until the market starts to quiet down in the evening. There is always something to do, like checking the stock or cleaning the grease off the counters.
