Khushi Properties

Our little office is at Kamla Nagar 48 E. If you know Delhi, you know Kamla Nagar is always full of students and people looking for a place to stay. Khushi Properties is just a small room where we keep track of who is moving out and who wants to move in. It’s a lot of walking around, showing people flats that sometimes look nothing like they expected from the descriptions. I spend my mornings checking on empty rooms and my evenings talking to landlords who are usually grumpy about something or other. The office at 48 E is pretty basic, just a couple of chairs for clients and a big map of the local blocks on the wall. We don’t have a fancy website with professional photos. Usually, we just take a quick snap on the phone and show it to whoever walks in. It’s a fast-paced neighborhood and things change every day. One day a shop is there, the next day it’s something else entirely. We just try to keep up with the rents and the deposits. It’s a lot of paperwork and a lot of talking. Sometimes I feel more like a counselor than a property guy, listening to people's problems with their roommates or their leaky roofs. It’s just how it goes when you work in real estate in a place like this. We’ve been at this spot for years and don't plan on moving.
