Baqaullah Khan Street is one of those places that stays busy from sunrise to way past dark. Our spot here at 2524 is tucked away in Tiraha Behram Khan. It’s an old part of the city, so the streets are narrow and you always hear the sound of scooters and rickshaws outside. Inside, it’s a different world with all the computers humming away. We have people working different shifts since the work doesn't really stop. The air conditioner is usually running full blast because it gets so hot with all the machines. We’ve got a small area where we keep our bags and eat our lunch. Usually, someone brings something good from home and the whole room smells like spices for an hour. It’s a lot of sitting and typing, really. We wear headsets and talk to people from all over, which is sort of strange when you look out the window and see the old buildings across the way. The wiring is a bit of a mess under the desks, but everything works. We have to be careful walking out in the evening because the traffic is everywhere. It’s just a regular bunch of us trying to keep things running smoothly. No one puts on any acts here. We just come in, do the technical work, and then head home to our families once the shift is finally done for the day.
