Independent Consultant

I’m working out of a lower ground floor space in East Patel Nagar, New Delhi. It’s down at 49/28. Being on the lower ground floor means it stays a bit cooler in the summer, which is a nice bonus given how hot Delhi gets. I’ve been an independent consultant here for a good bit of time. The space isn’t very large, but it’s enough for what I do. I have my books, my computer, and a small area to make coffee. I don’t go in for anything too professional-looking. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, and the lighting isn't perfect, but it works for me. Most of my day is spent reading and typing. I don't have a big team or a fancy title. I'm just a person who helps out with specific problems when they come up. People in the neighborhood know me, and I like being part of the local community here in Patel Nagar. It’s a busy area with a lot of noise from the street, but you get used to it after a while. I don't spend money on advertising because most of my work comes from people I've worked with before. It’s a simple, small-scale operation. I handle everything myself, from the first phone call to the final invoice. It’s not a glamorous life, but it’s my life. I spend a lot of hours here, just keeping things moving along at my own pace.
