This Icici Prudential Life Insurance branch is located in the Satyam Multicomplex, which is in New Ranjeet Nagar here in New Delhi. Being on the fourth floor at unit 401 means we are a bit away from the street noise, though you can still hear the city moving outside. It is a typical Delhi office setup. We spend our days dealing with various life insurance matters for people who live and work in this part of the city. The complex itself is usually quite busy with people coming and going from different businesses. Inside our space, things are pretty quiet and focused on the work at hand. We deal with a lot of paperwork, checking IDs, and making sure all the signatures are in the right places. It isn't very glamorous, but it is necessary work. We have a few computers that we use to look up policy details when someone comes in with a question. Sometimes the elevators in the building are a bit slow, so we get a lot of people arriving a little out of breath. We just offer them a seat and wait for them to settle before we start looking at their files. It’s a very matter-of-fact kind of place. We don’t have any fancy mission statements or marketing posters everywhere. We just try to get the daily admin done and help the people who visit us as best as we can.
