Up on the 12th floor of Pragati Tower, you’ll find Hamer Publishers Pvt.Ltd. The address is 1202, 26, Rajindra Place. Rajindra Place is a major hub, so there is always a lot of activity downstairs on the street. Getting up to the twelfth floor takes a minute with the elevators, but the view of the city is something you eventually stop noticing when you’re busy with deadlines. We do publishing work, so there are always piles of paper and manuscripts lying around the desks. It can look a bit messy to an outsider, but we know where everything is. Hamer Publishers Pvt.Ltd. has been in this tower for several years. We share the floor with a few other offices, but we mostly keep to ourselves. The atmosphere is generally quiet, except for the sound of typing and the occasional phone call. It’s a very different world up here compared to the street level of Rajindra Place. We have a small team of editors and staff who have been with us through many different projects. We don't go in for big advertisements or flashy events. We just focus on the books and the documents we need to get out. Sometimes the coffee machine breaks, and that’s a big deal for us, but mostly it's just regular office life. It is okay being part of the publishing world from our corner in Pragati Tower. It’s a steady job and we enjoy seeing things go from draft to finish.
