Genpact

Our office is at 26 82 West Patel Nagar here in New Delhi. If you’ve been to this part of the city, you know how packed the streets can get. We’re in a building that’s seen better days, but it’s sturdy and it’s where we do our work for Genpact. The stairs are a bit narrow, so moving furniture in was a nightmare. We occupy a couple of rooms where we handle various business processes. It’s a lot of phone calls and email chains. Sometimes it feels like the work never ends, but we just keep chipping away at it. The metro station isn't too far away, which is how most of us get here every morning. We don't have a fancy sign, just a small one by the door so people know they’re in the right place. The local tea stall guy knows all our orders by heart. We usually have a lot of papers scattered around, though we try to file them by the end of the week. It’s not the quietest place to work because of the traffic outside, but you learn to tune it out. We aren't a corporate showroom. We’re just a bunch of regular people working in the 110008 area. We try to be helpful when people call, even if the systems are being slow. It’s just our daily life in West Patel Nagar. We keep the computers running and make sure the logs are updated before we head home.
