Emcel Accessories

Out here on Hardhyan Singh Road in Karol Bagh, things are always tight. Our place, F 1, is tucked into the market where everything is about parts and accessories. The street is narrow, and you have to watch where you’re walking because there’s always someone moving a trolley or a scooter parked where it shouldn't be. Inside Emcel, we keep things pretty basic. There are shelves reaching up to the ceiling filled with all kinds of small items. We spend a good chunk of our day just looking for the right box for someone. It’s a lot of manual work, checking labels and making sure we haven't run out of the popular stuff. The fans keep spinning, but it still gets warm when the shop is full of people. We don't use big words or have a polished way of doing things. If someone needs an accessory, we find it, show it to them, and that’s it. We’ve got a routine that works for us. Morning starts with a bit of dusting and ends with us pulling down the shutters when the market finally starts to quiet down. It’s an honest way to make a living, and we’ve been in this spot long enough to know the rhythms of the neighborhood. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint, but we’re too busy for that right now. We just focus on the stock.
