Dexonics

We are based at A-94 in the Flatted Factory Complex over in Jhandewalan. This place is an industrial hub, so there is always the sound of things moving and people shouting to each other in the distance. The complex is huge, and it’s very easy to get lost in the long concrete corridors if you aren't familiar with where you are going. Our unit, Dexonics, is just one of many small spaces in this massive building. It’s got high ceilings and those big old windows that let in a lot of dust along with the grey sunlight. We don't have much in the way of carpets or nice furniture here. It’s mostly metal shelves and some heavy workbenches. The floor is plain concrete and has quite a few scuffs from things being moved around over the years. Jhandewalan is a busy part of the city, that's for sure. You can hear the traffic and the sirens from the main road all day long. We usually have a radio playing in the background to drown out some of the noise from the other units nearby. It gets pretty cold in the winter because the building is so large and the wind comes through the gaps. In the summer, we just keep the fans running at full speed to stay cool. Most people here wear work clothes because it’s not the kind of place for anything fancy. We have our tea breaks out in the hallway or by the main gate.
