D.C. Shukla Tech. Consultant is tucked away on Ramjas Road in Karol Bagh, specifically at C/O 61/7. If you have ever walked through Karol Bagh, you know it is a mix of everything—homes, shops, and offices all piled on top of each other. Our space is more of a studio or a small office where we spend our days looking at technical specs and drawings. It is usually pretty quiet inside, which is a big contrast to the noise and traffic just outside the window. We have shelves full of old files and technical manuals that we have collected over the years. We aren't some big firm with a receptionist in a fancy lobby. Most of the time it’s just us sitting at the desks, working through some engineering problem or writing up a report for a client. We get a lot of phone calls throughout the day and people popping in to ask questions. We make a lot of tea and usually have the radio playing softly in the background. The furniture is old but comfortable, and the walls are covered in calendars and notes. It’s a practical place for people who like to get into the details of how things work. We just focus on giving sound advice and making sure the technical side of things is handled properly for whoever walks through the door. It’s mostly quiet work but it keeps us thinking all day long.
