Subhash Potteries

We are located at Bagh Risaldar, right along the G.T. Road. Being near such a major road makes it easy for people to find Subhash Potteries, though the noise from the trucks never really stops. This is where we work with clay and ceramics. It is a messy job, and there is usually some dust or wet mud on the floor. We have the kilns in the back area where we fire the pieces. It gets very hot when those are running. We make different kinds of pottery, from basic pots for plants to more decorative things. The G.T. Road has changed a lot over the years, but our spot here has stayed mostly the same. We have a small display area at the front where people can see what we have finished recently. The pieces are all handmade, so they aren't always exactly the same size or color, but that's just how pottery goes. My father started this, and I grew up around the smell of damp earth and the heat of the ovens. We don't do any fancy marketing or have a website that works properly. People just see the pots outside and pull over their cars to take a look. It is honest work and it keeps us busy from sunrise until the evening. We just keep making the items and hope the weather stays good for drying the clay outside. The clay needs to be just the right consistency before we can start the wheel spinning.
