About World Dehydrates Foods Spices – Food & Beverages in Botad
Our facility is located right off National Highway No. 8-e, on Ratol Road. We are directly opposite the Ganesh Temple, so we are pretty easy to spot if you are driving that way. World Dehydrates Foods Spices is where we process various food items and spices. The smell around the place is usually quite strong, especially when we are drying out batches of chilies or garlic. It is a very hands-on process. We spend a lot of time checking the drying beds and making sure the temperature is just right. The highway brings a lot of dust, so we have to be careful about keeping everything clean inside. The staff here mostly comes from the nearby villages. We have got a rhythm to the day that follows the harvest seasons. When the spices come in, everyone is busy from early morning. It is a functional building, mostly storage space and the dehydration units. We do not have a big storefront since most of our stuff goes out in bulk. Sometimes travelers on the highway stop by because they see the sign, and we show them around if we are not too busy. Being across from the temple is nice; it gives the area a bit of a peaceful feeling despite the highway noise. We just focus on getting the dehydration done right so the food stays good for a long time. It is simple, honest work that keeps us connected to the local farms and the seasons.
