Shyamoli Agri Horti Farmer Producer Company Limited is where we spend all our time lately. We are located at Furkanuddin Ahmed’s place in Tiok Bongali Gaonbhojo. It’s a nice enough area, very rural and focused on the land. We do a mix of agriculture and horticulture, so there’s always something different to look at. One day it’s the vegetables and the next it’s the fruit trees. Furkanuddin keeps us organized, though things can get a bit chaotic when the planting season starts. We don't use any fancy marketing talk here because we’re just farmers trying to get by. Most of our neighbors are also part of this in one way or another. We meet up, talk about the soil and the seeds, and try to help each other out. The Tiok Bongali Gaonbhojo area is a bit tucked away, but we like it that way. It’s peaceful until the tractors start up in the morning. We’ve had some good years and some tough ones, but that’s just how farming goes. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who know the land and want to keep it productive. We just focus on the daily chores and making sure the plants are growing like they should. It’s not a glamorous life, but it’s what we know and we’re happy to be doing it. We just take it as it comes.
