Kamala Granite Industries

Kamala Granite Industries is based at G-101 in the RIICO Industrial Area, Phase 3. This is an industrial neighborhood where everyone is busy with some kind of manufacturing or processing. Our unit is dedicated to granite work. It is a large shed with lots of heavy machinery. The noise of the saws is something we have gotten used to over the years. We process a lot of stone here, turning raw blocks into flat slabs that people use for floors and walls. It is a gritty environment with plenty of mud and stone scraps lying around. We don't have a fancy front office for meetings. Most of our business happens right on the factory floor where we can point at the actual stone. Our team is small and we all pitch in with whatever needs doing, whether it is operating the machines or loading the trucks. RIICO is a good location for us because the roads are wide enough for the big lorries. We have been working here for quite a while and have seen many other units come and go. We just keep our heads down and focus on the stone we have in front of us. It is not an easy life, but there is something satisfying about seeing a rough block become a smooth slab. We don't try to be anything we are not. Our gates are usually open to let the air circulate while the saws are running.
