You’ll find us on the first floor of Labhuji Ka Katra. It’s right in the middle of a very busy area. There’s a lot of noise coming up from the street, but you get used to it. Being on the first floor means we have to be smart about how we store things. We deal in ceramics, which are a lot lighter than big stone slabs, but they still add up when you have hundreds of boxes. Our space is filled with stacks of tiles for bathrooms and kitchens. It’s not a fancy place with bright lights and mirrors. We just have the boxes piled up and some samples laid out on the tables. Customers come in and spend a lot of time trying to decide between different shades of white or cream. We just let them take their time. There’s no pressure from us. We’ve been here for a good while, so we know most of the other people working in the Katra. We usually have a pot of tea going in the back. If someone needs a certain type of tile we don't have, we try to find out where they can get it. It’s a small shop feel, even if we are a private limited company on paper. We just focus on keeping the stock moving and making sure we don't mix up the different orders when we send them out. The stairs are narrow, so we have to be careful when carrying heavy samples for people to see.
