Shaheen Pu College

If you head out toward Bidare in Karnataka, you'll find us. Shaheen Pu College is right here in Bidar, and it’s a place where the older students come to get through their pre-university years. It’s a busy spot. Every morning, you see the students coming in from all over the district, some on buses and some just walking. The building is pretty large because we have quite a few classes going on at once. It gets hot in the afternoons, so we keep the windows open. The classrooms are full of benches and blackboards. We don’t really do anything fancy or have high-tech gadgets everywhere. It’s just about the books and the teaching. Our staff stays late most days to help out if someone is stuck on a math problem or some science theory. You can hear the lectures from the hallway if you walk by. Outside, there’s some space for the students to hang out during their breaks. It’s not a park or anything, just a dusty yard where they talk and eat their lunch. Living and working in Bidar means we know the local life well. The college is just a part of the community here. We have been here long enough that people know where the main gate is. It's just a steady place for learning. The college has its own rhythm, and while we might not have the newest facilities in the state, the atmosphere is quite focused. It's just a regular college in Bidar.
